Guardian Angels from AOP

Do protestants believe in guardian angels? I would think so because it is in Scripture. I wonder about that because their argument against praying to the Blessed Mother and saints is that we only need to pray to Jesus. But if that is true than why do we have guardian angels?

Protestant theology allows for the belief in angels, since they are in the Bible, and from personal experience most protestants I know believe in guardian angels (not that I ever took a poll). In terms of praying to their guardian angel, I would say probably not. They might talk to them, but not actually pray. Yes, this would be related to the general rejection of saints and the Blessed Mother as having an intercessory role. Evagelicals go as far as saying that praying to the saints is futile because they're asleep and can't hear us (I'm not making that up).
